If you missed the excitement of Pat the NES Punk and I playing our way through 1.5 quests of Zelda the other day in order to drum up donations for Child’s Play, then you need not worry, as you can find the stream in its entirety below (8 videos).
And if you’re so inclined, the ChipIn widget on the side of this webpage that allows you to donate directly to Child’s Play will be active through the end of February, so don’t let the fact that you missed the live stream stop you from opening your wallets for the kids!

i had to step out halfway through so this is great.
Thanks for posting this, I can now catch the missed parts. (Video 3, 4, 5 and part of 6.)
Wow I went out to eat I didnt think they would do second quest.
As the subject would suggest, In true fanboy fashion I watched this entire stream from start to finish over the course of my sunday afternoon throughout the full seven hour broadcast. I was unable to contribute unfortunately but my son has a birthday coming up so needless to say i’m strapped for cash atm. Aaaanyway… I did post to twitter and facebook in an attempt to direct traffic to the cause to help out.
In any case, I went so far as to order a pizza so that I didn’t even have to leave the CPU enough to acquire something to eat. I enjoyed the stream but I must say that to some extent Pat’s slightly elitist view of how Legend of Zelda should be played as well as his negative attitude due to Roo’s style of gameplay made him seem much more off-putting to me as a reviewer and a person in general. No i’m not bashing the punk i’ve watched many of his videos and support him fully so put your flame cannon down as I am now equipped with a flamesheild that I cast into the hidden pool behind the waterfall of wishes and having this item equipped has made me near impenetrable to such attacks.
On the other hand it could be argued that Roo’s playstyle was fairly brutish but I don’t really see any reason to get worked up over a game, people who do are usually the first person around the table or on the couch that I latch onto and relentlessly prod as being far too involved in something so trivial as playing a game when the goal of any game is for simple enjoyment and to entertain and amuse you and your friends (at least it should be…)
All that said, the cause was a most worthy one and I enjoyed watching the stream immensly from start to finish.
Thanks for posting this up for the few moments I may have missed here and there both paying for the aforementioned pizza and any bio breaks that had to be taken interveiously throught the cast.
Long live the Clan of the Gray (spelled with an “a” Boomer
) Wolf and any endeavors you guys pursue in the future.
Totally, completely indescribably AWESOME!!!. I enjoyed the marathon so much, I think I might watch it a few more times. To be honest im not really a huge zelda fan and thats not why I watched the whole marathon. I am really just a Video Game fanatic. I love this kind of stuff and people like Pat and Roo, you guys make it awesome cause its like I can share my personal feeling of nostalgia with someone else. I think that the amount of time and effort you guys invest into what you are passionate about is breathtaking and that seeing new content on a regular basis is really fantastic. So thanks very very very much.
Also I felt the need to mention, I think it was great that you took advice from the chat window during the marathon and that I was very excited to see that a couple of my suggestions even made it into the review. My chat room name was ProfLOTSATips. The burning of the corner bush where you bought the meat and shield was one of my posts and so was the bottom right corner tree in the lost woods for the rupies…and Thanks alot to Pat for answering my question about What game had the most Replay Value for him.
All I can say is sorry for such a long post. Keep doing what you’re doing cause it is really great and Thanks for everything.
Oh and Roo if you read this…..What game has the most replay value for you?
I can’t get video 8 to play all the way through!
Just created an account on this site so i can stalk roo nearly everywhere O_O
POST IT ON BT NAAAAAU
i was there but then my internet gave up on me and it was pretty late in europe and stuff…so im pretty happy you posted it finally
thanks
btw can i dare to ask you about 16bitgems #21?
Great stuff! I’m really glad you were able to turn these into video for watching after the fact as I was unable to watch on the actual day. They’re great to have on while I’m working as well!
It’s great to be able to watch the stream again; but, my only complaint is that the quality of the video was
HORRIBLE!!!
It was far to blocky to see anything in detail. Raise the quality when you do the Zelda II marathon next year. (that is going to happen, right?)
Yeah, in a lot of ways this was a test run for future “remote” dual streams. One big problem was the crappy internet available in my area. Seriously, 0.5 Mbits/sec is the best I can do. Luckily, local ISPs are in the process of upgrading, and I hear that I’ll be able to handle 5 Mbits/sec in the next few months. So at least there’s that…
Thank you for posting this. I could not watch it on the day from Sweden so I’m having a Zelda week looking at these films now.
Roos playing stile is defenetly frustrating. It makes me want to go and play my self to see if I one is any better
The world defenetly needs a 25th year zelda box or something.
Looking forward for more 16-bits films
Don’t take my comment the wrong way, I really liked the stream. It’s just the quality was a little sub-sub-par.
Sorry. I seem to have gotten used to my HD monitor…
Still love the “Wireless Headphones” moment, Pat’s reaction was calssic!
