Indie Games Searchlight: To the Moon

Mark Carr of Indie Games Searchlight shines the light on a great independent game that I recently tried out and absolutely loved – To the Moon.

In reality, more of an interactive story, To the Moon is one of the greatest examples I’ve seen in the Pro-“Are Games Art” debate… but I digress.  Watch the review and decide for yourself:

To The Moon is available here:

OK Roo: You had me curious but I never looked into it until now. There is a DRM-Free version available on GOG. Now I know what to go for after [Redacted] when I have time to play games again 😉

I purchased it from Steam today, but so far it seems unnecessarily sterile from a gameplay perspective and tediously melodramatic.

I finally went through the game in essentially in one huge playthrough and I have to say I’m so glad I did. Thank you guys for posting this vid here and for indie game searchlight guys for making the video for the game, since its because of that I got the game.

Haha, have to admit I find it hard classifying it as a game, but more akin to a movie you help push along and explore (not a bad thing). I found myself relating to so many parts of the story and in the ending i actually felt tears swelling up haha which never happened before for me playing a game or watching a movie.

Now I can’t wait to see what the guys at freebird games releases next! Once again thanks for posting this!

I bought it upon finding this review.

Absolutely beautiful. Uplifting in a time I needed it. Thank you for this review. Wouldn’t have heard of this title otherwise.
