    What is DRM

    Digital Rights Management
It’s supposed to prevent piracy. SimCity for example requires your machine to always be connected to EA’s servers even when you just want to play alone in your own city. If your internet connection fails or if their servers break down because of too much traffic (which happens, especially during the first couple of days after launch), you won’t be able to play the game at all.

DRM is always bad for the consumer.

DRM isn’t bad, I completely agree with trying to stop piracy. But the fact remains that I really hate how EA go about it. Their DRM policies are hurting consumer’s experiences with their games.
